ARTIST IN RESIDENCE - SPRING 2018
Tri-Art is thrilled to be hosting Drew Harris as our first ever artist in residence during the spring of 2018. Harris is a long-time user of Tri-Art Acrylics, having incorporated our colours and mediums into his painting practice since the birth of our company in the mid-nineties. His work has been featured in two of Rhéni Tauchid's books, The New Acrylics and New Acrylics Essential Sourcebook.
Drew will be based in Kingston from mid April until the end of June, where he will be producing a body of work, to be shown at the Art Noise Gallery, inspired and informed by his time and experience in Kingston.

Internationally recognized Visual Artist and Graphic Designer Drew Harris began his design career in 1981 it Toronto, Canada after graduating from Georgian College of Applied Arts in both fine art and graphic design.
Harris held a position as Senior Designer/Partner with Communique Ltd, Canada's most successful design and marketing agency at the time and has been the recipient of many industry awards in both design and fine arts. Harris semi-retired from his position at Communique at age 30 to engage in a career as an abstract artist spanning over 28 years. Harris' work is in some of the most important art collections and galleries globally.
He currently resides in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia where he and his wife, artist and fashion lecturer Sharifah Mazwari share a creative studio with their two dogs, Ham and Pig.
