A Shared Palette Experience

My first experience at Namta 2010

If I know anything, I know (and love) the business of art. I understand both the artist and the business perspective, from buying art materials for myself to working in a retail art store all the way through to researching and marketing products for fellow artists. I'm now sharing my passion for art materials working with Tri-Art's Acrylic Educational Program as an instructor and with my own business Shared Palette Interactive Art for Corporate Events. To add to my business experiences is NAMTA (National Art Materials Trade Association) fine art materials conference, and since every year is a new opportunity to showcase what you have to offer to the world, this year Tri-Art incorporated a Shared Palette experience to demonstrate product. We invited everyone who stopped at our booth to try True Colour Acrylics, to take a brush and make their mark towards a collective painting and learn about our products by actually painting. The opportunity was definitely well-received with enthusiasm and appreciation.  Everyone who contributed loved the paint and really understood our quality product and its potential because they had the chance to try it first hand! They left with a smile, refreshed by this break from the convention norm; and I was delightfully reminded that business in itself can be very creative. There are endless opportunities for thinking out of the box, educating and engaging our minds creatively, and this successful Shared Palette + Tri-Art collaboration certainly gave credit to art as a role model for business.

A big thank you to everyone I had the pleasure of painting and creating with, much respect
