Raw Umber modification
Tri-Art modifies its Raw Umber.
We announced in February that we would be modifiying our Raw Umber. The pigment currently used is no longer available due to the closure of a mine. We have sourced a new pigment which is slightly different in tonal value. You may notice the Raw Umber looking lighter in mass tone, but it is quite similar in undertone. There will also be a slight difference with our Viridian (Hue) as it contains the new pigment in its formula. The new standard for Raw Umber is already on the shelves for our Finest Quality High Viscocity, True Colour and Rheotech. The latest batch of our Finest Quality Liquid's Raw Umber (#20921) will be in stores now. It will be in the Air brush and Inks within the next six months. The newly sourced pigment and formulation maintains the same quality in performance and archival permanance that we have produced in the past.
