Pigment Description

Cadmium Red Deep is a complex, slightly dusky, near-purple red. Its undertone is similarly near-purple, but with strong notes of earthy brick red. Tri-Art's Chemically Pure Cadmium Red Deep is made from the highest grade of cadmium Selenosulphide available yielding the highest colour intensity and cleanest mixing possible. A favourite of 20th century painters, this opaque red is a versatile pigment in academic and classical palettes. Not intended for airbrush or use with children.
