I’m an artist in London, Ontario. With all the **** that has been coming out of the U.S., my family has been striving to buy made in Canada. So, I decided to buy Canadian made paint, and I have not been disappointed. I not only purchased this set, but I saw completely new colours I hadn’t seen before! I am especially loving the Sea Foam and Tumeric. I love the consistency. I don’t have to add water because the paint is smooth and spreads easily. And I was so surprised that the coverage has been excellent. I am so happy I have started the change over to Tri-Art and look forward to my next order! After hearing that a well known Canadian artist used Tri-art acrylics, I had to try them for myself. Oh ehm gee! Transparent Permanent Orange is my go to underpainting and glaze colour. It positively glows!

One of my recurring themes is a forest, with each tree top being a flat graphic shape of a unique blend of colours. There can be literally hundreds of trees, so having a variety of different yellows available creates more interesting variations. Arylide Yellow Medium is a welcome addition to my palette.

I discovered the line through Gwartzman’s in Toronto and I’ve always believed that it is important to support Canadian-owned companies. I’ve occasionally tried different brands over the years, but have always preferred the feel and coverage of Tri-Art, especially the Liquid line, which is what I’m primarily using with my current technique. Thanks for continuing to manufacture great art materials.

I use Pyrrole red light, Pyrrole arrange and permanent crimson often to go from light to dark in still life and landscape painting. Tri art paint is consistent, saturated and a delight to work with on the brush. I love piling it on for both saturated colour and texture.
