Pigment Description

Phthalo Blue (Red Shade) is the often neglected sibling of phthalo blue (green shade). Unlike weaker, warm blues like Ultramarine, Phthalo Blue (Red Shade) has the tinting strength necessary to retain brilliant colour when mixed with titanium white, making it an ideal warm blue mixing compliment for the modern painter. Its tinting strength is strong enough in fact to readily build passage of strong colour, despite being completely transparent. Use as a glaze to bring out its rich violet leaning blue undertone.

Disappointed there was no followup

I contacted Triart a week ago to advise that the bottle of Red Oxide Tint in their low viscosity paint that I received has a broken top. It appears that it is stripped or perhaps the lid is split and I can’t twist it to open. I also sent a wee video to show your customer service that the bottle cannot open. I’ve yet to hear back from Tri-Art which is so disappointing, hence I am contacting you via this format.

Cobalt - Teal?

The color is extemely light. Almost pastel. Maybe the wrong label is on this?
It's nothing like the Color Swatch on the label. This is not accurate marketing.

Love this colour!

So glad that I found a Canadian company that makes excellent quality art paints. I’ve tried most of the big brands (and some others) in this colour and I’m happy to say that it’s absolutely equal and a great value. I will be buying again
