I first started working with Art Noise/Tri-Art acrylics decades ago because I wanted to support a local (or as close possible) manufacturer to reduce the carbon footprint of the materials.
Titanium White is the most commonly used colour in my practice so I always have a 1000 ml family size on hand. The thing about Tri-Art’s Liquid formula that makes it my go-to is that it is actually more opaque than Golden or any other brand I’ve tried. More opaque means less paint is used, and with the techniques I employ it means fewer layers, so it’s more efficient. During the Covid disruption in manufacturing/shipping etc, I couldn’t find any Tri-Art T-white in Toronto supply stores so I reluctantly bought Golden and was quickly reminded of how superior Tri-Art’s coverage is.
