Transparent Brown is the warm alternative to dark brown earth colours like Van Dyke Brown and Burnt Umber. Transparent Brown is a mixture of transparent red oxide and carbon black  with a rich red-brown mass tone and a complex, yellow leaning, red-brown undertone.  It is ideal for mixing and glazing in landscape and portrait palettes to create lush shadows and dark neutrals.
