Shipping policy

Orders are processed in 1-3 business days. Posted shipping estimates do not factor in processing time.

Orders within Canada are shipped via UPS or Purolator. Rates are calculated based on weight and package size. We offer free shipping on orders over $89 (before tax). Please note we cannot ship to a PO Box.

Orders to the United States: Due to the ongoing tariff situation with the US we are currently not shipping directly to the customers in United States. Please refer to our where to buy map to find your nearest American Tri-Art retailer. 

Shipping to the EU are shipped via UPS at the rate selected at checkout. Rates are calculated based on weight and package size. Any applicable customs charges will be added to the order at checkout.

Orders to the rest of the world are shipped via UPS at the rate selected at checkout. Rates are calculated based on weight and package size.  Any applicable duties/taxes will be the responsibility of the customer, to be paid at the time of import.

*Due to the weight and size of many of our products, larger orders may be subject to additional shipping charges. We will contact you regarding additional shipping charges if required.

Refund policy

Returns
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return or exchange, your item must be unused, unopened and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at support@tri-art.ca and send your item to: 290 Princess St, Kingston ON K7L 1B5, Canada.

Shipping

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Tri-Art Watercolours are designed for luminous washes, clean mixes, and controlled transparency or opacity, with pigment choices that help you paint with intention. 

Paper note: We chose an un-sized paper so you can experience these watercolours as intended, with quick activation and clear, honest swatches. Please note the sheet is lighter-weight than traditional watercolour paper.

How to use

  1. Add a few drops of clean water to the dot you want, let it soften briefly, then pull colour with your brush.

  2. Mix in a small well or on a palette for clearer colour, then build layers once the previous wash is touch-dry.

  3. Let the card dry between sessions. Tri-Art Watercolours are formulated to re-wet after drying for practical palette use.

If a product is defective, we will replace it at no cost after verification. We may request photos, the batch code or lot number, and the unused portion for inspection.
