Product information

Pigment Description

Cobalt Green is composed of genuine Cobalt Chromite Green Spinel. A cool, deep green with an earthy, blue leaning, green undertone, this undervalued blue is useful for creating softer, more natural looking greens than Phthalo Green (Blue Shade). It also readily mixes to a range of interesting neutral hues. An ideal choice for landscape painters.

Product Description

Cobalt Green is part of Tri-Art High Viscosity Professional Acrylic Paint, a heavy body acrylic with a thick, buttery consistency that holds brushstrokes and palette-knife texture. Built with high pigment loading and a fine grind, it stays bold and clean for impasto, scumbling, and confident brushwork.

Pigment profile: Single pigment colour (PG26). Bias: Cool. Pigment family: Mineral. Semi-opaque handling, a good balance of coverage and depth for layered mixtures and scumbles. Low tinting strength, build your mixtures gradually for softer shifts. Low to non-staining, forgiving in layered work and easier to lift while wet. Lightfastness rating: 4. Sheen: Semi-gloss. Granulating pigment character, can show beautiful texture and break in thin passages.
