This complex magenta mixture has a deep, slightly muted, near red mass tone, with a red leaning magenta undertone. Permanent Crimson is an excellent replacement for the traditional painter looking to improve upon cool reds like Alizarin Crimson. Permanent Crimson offers cleaner colour mixing and greater intensity of colour for glazing techniques.
