Pigment Description

Alizarin Crimson is a staple of classical 19th and 20th century painting. Traditionally made with unstable dye products, Tri-Art has expertly formulated a hue that employs a mix of more lightfast modern pigments. Naphthol Red and Transparent Red Oxide forms the slightly dusky brick red mass tone of Alizarin Crimson, while Dioxane Violet imparts Alizarin's signature near purple, red undertone. Alizarin Crimson remains a popular choice mixing and glazing, particularly in limited palettes.

Always wanted tri-art watercolors

Been wanting these paints for a long time, and I finally got some! These paints are bright and very beautiful. I been a tri-art believer for a long time now, and always will be. I also use their high viscosity acrylics for airbrushing. :). Once I finish a painting I will submit what I have done with these paints. (I take forever), and maybe one day I will have all tri-art watercolors....
