LOW VISCOSITY REFORMULATIONS:
Here at Tri-Art we are always striving to improve our products. You may have previously noticed that our Low Viscosity colours tended to separate and required quite a strong arm to shake up, particularly colours that contained titanium white and iron oxide.
Titanium white and iron oxide are very heavy pigments. Like sand stirred up on the bottom of a lake, they have a strong desire to settle back down to the bottom. To prevent this settling, typically paint formulas are thickened, gelling these pigments in place. When it comes to creating thin and liquid paints like our professional Low Viscosity line, it posed quite a formulation challenge. We wanted to keep the formula liquid and fluid, but also keep the pigment load as high as possible, so we previously opted to allow for some settling to occur.
We’re now happy to announce that after over a year of R&D we are releasing not only 36 new colours, but also re-releasing several new and improved original Low Viscosity colours. This new formula retains the same colours, pigment load and low viscosity characteristics, but has greatly improved pigment suspension, ensuring your paints stay ready and useable.
